Abigail Leandra "Abby" Lewis, of Fulton, was born on July 16, 1990, at Jefferson City, a daughter of Dennis Lee and Marilyn Yvonne (Honse) Lewis, and departed this life at 7:15 p.m., on Thursday, July 2, 2015, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, after suffering a stroke on Monday, June 29, 2015. Abby had attained the age of 24 years, 11 months, and 17 days.

Abby was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Chester Lewis, and maternal grandparents, Henry and Gladys Honse.

Abby had been baptized and had attended the First Baptist Church, Vienna. She was a 2009 graduate of the Maries R-1 High School, Vienna, and had been employed by Backers Potato Chip Company, Fulton, in the packing department, boxing the chips for shipment. She loved animals and especially her dog, Angel.

Those left to mourn the passing of Abby include: Her parents, Dennis and Marilyn Lewis, Vienna; two sisters, Katriona "Katy" Honse, Vienna; and Haley Lewis and friend, Seth Backues, Freeburg; three nephews, Hunter, Trevor, and Ryder Herzing; her paternal grandmother, Norma Lee Lewis, Rolla; uncles; aunts; cousins; and other relatives and friends..


Funeral services were be conducted for Abby at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in the First Baptist Church, 1004 Highway 63 South, Vienna, with Rev. Mike Hurtgen, First Baptist Church, Vienna, officiating.

Interment was in the Vienna Public Cemetery under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
