Obituary

Ada Ilene Henry, of Dixon, was born on September 28, 1934, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, a daughter of Rufus Lee and Sarah Agnes (England) Farris, and departed this life at 5:15 p.m., on Sunday, August 2, 2015, in the Life Care Center of Waynesville after being in failing health since February of 2015. She had attained the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 5 days

Mrs. Henry had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior and had followed her Lord in baptism early in life. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the Freedom Church in Dixon. During her working life, Mrs. Henry had been a housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. Activities she especially enjoyed included composing poetry and painting scenes of landscapes.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Henry include: One son, Charles Henry III and wife, Rose, of Soldotna, Alaska; three daughters, Charlotte Henry of Norman, Oklahoma, Cathy Warden and husband, Ed, of Dixon, and Cynthia Guajardo of Radcliffe, Kentucky; eight grandchildren: Nathan Warden and wife, Pamela, Justin Oros, and Christina Slaney, all of Moore, Oklahoma, Sarah Guajardo and Felecia Guajardo, both of Louisville, Kentucky, and Forrest Henry, Rachel Henry, and Isabella Henry, all of Soldotna, Alaska; one great-grandson, Zachary Nathan Warden, of Moore, Oklahoma; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by one son, Infant Christopher Henry; her father, Rufus, in November of 1974; her mother, Sarah, on July 1, 1951; four brothers, Preston, Warren, Nathan, and Thomas Farris; and two sisters, Marie Gartman and Letha Wilson.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Henry at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 6, 2015, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with Pastor Robert Hamm officiating. Two favorite hymns, "In The Garden" and "It Is Well With My Soul" were selected for the funeral service.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Mrs. Henry were Charles Henry III, Nathan Warden, Justin Oros, Tim Rose, Chad Ray, and Chuck Barber. Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Wagoner, Don Canole, and Forrest Henry

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family of Mrs. Henry to the RBC Ministries or the Gideons International with envelopes available at the Dixon Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes at 105 East Third Street in Dixon.
