Obituary

Adam "Jr." Theodore Wieberg, age 86, of Vienna, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his residence in Vienna. He was born December 23, 1938, in Argyle, the son of Adam Frank and Myrtle Helen (Replogle) Wieberg.

On September 11, 1956, Adam entered active federal service in the United States Army and was honorably discharged September 3, 1959, at the rank of SP5 E5.

He was married November 30, 1963, to the former Ms. Kathleen (Kay) Elizabeth Ewers, at the Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna. After marriage they moved to Jefferson City, where they lived for over 30 years, raising their four children. They were members of St. Peter Catholic Church, in which Adam led the Rosary before Saturday night mass for more than 20 years. He was also very active with the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 17. One of the many DAV activities he was involved in was working the Bingo nights held each Friday night.

Adam worked on the bridge crew for the Missouri Department of Transportation and then DeLong's Inc. in Jefferson City from 1966 until retiring in 2004. In 1993, they moved back "home" to Vienna. Adam was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 13178 in Vienna. Adam was very active in the parish community, serving on the Visitation Church Dream Team, Parish Council, President of the Columbus Home Association of Vienna, Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 13178, he also cleaned the Visitation Inter-Parish School, and volunteered at Loaves and Fishes. Adam enjoyed spending his time outdoors in his garden, picking blackberries, gathering walnuts and cutting wood; enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and after retirement, traveling. He also had a love for family history and reading local Church history books, listening to his record collection, playing the guitar and putting puzzles together.

Those left to mourn the passing of Adam include: his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Kay, of the home in Vienna; his children, Wayne Wieberg of Dyersburg, TN; Sandy Wieberg of Jefferson City; Alan Wieberg, of Holt Summit; and Stacie Hollis (Craig) of Vienna; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Wieberg of Mary's Home, and William "Bill" Wieberg (Vickie) of New Bloomfield; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Myrtle; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence Wieberg (Marcella), Albert (Rosalia), Joseph Wieberg (Viola), and John Wieberg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Veit (Roderick), and Mary Ann Laughlin (J.C.); sister-in-law, Judy Wieberg.

Visitation for Adam will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m., all in the Visitation Catholic Church, 105 N. Main Street, Vienna, MO. with Rev. Basil Tigga as celebrant and Deacon Michael Brooks as co-celebrant.

Interment will be in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers for Adam will be Troy Wieberg, Nick Allee, Adam Wieberg, Jacob Wieberg, Justin Hollis, and Nathan Hollis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tasha Herbert, Katie Wieberg, Destanie Thomas, Amber Wieberg, Calee Hollis, Kyndra Ridenhour, and Michael Ewers.

In Lieu of flowers, the family of Adam Wieberg prefers Masses or memorials to the Knights of Columbus Council 13178, Vienna with envelopes available at the church the day of his service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582
