Alfred "Fritz" Wieberg, age 72, of Freeburg, was born on January 8, 1952, a son of Edward Joseph and Marie Ann (Steinman) Wieberg and passed from this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, surrounded by his loving family.

Fritz was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. During his working life he had worked for McGraw Edison, Jefferson City, and later for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, as well as being a farm helper for many years.  Fritz was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting squirrels and rabbits, gardening, working in his sheds, and spending time with his family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Fritz include: the mother of his children, Lisa Wieberg, Freeburg; his children, Aron Wieberg, Jamie Wieberg, Bradley Wieberg, and Brenda Wieberg, all of Freeburg; his four grandchildren, Chase Buddemeyer, Matthew Wieberg, Emmett Wieberg, and Tucker Wieberg; his siblings, John Wieberg and his wife, Judy, Freeburg; Rita Ann Lynch, Jefferson City, and Donna Baysinger, Freeburg; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Fritz was preceded in death by his father, Edward on July 16, 1975; his mother, Marie on January 28, 2001; three sisters, infant Nancy Wieberg on May 3, 1957, infant Betty Wieberg on August 29, 1956, and Delores Hoffman on March 11, 2020; one brother, Bernard F. Wieberg Sr. on February 10, 2009; brothers-in-law, Anthony Mengwasser, David Baysinger on October 23, 2015, John Lynch on November 28, 2011, and Brenda's fiancé, Joshua Buddemeyer on July 5, 2005.

Visitation for Fritz will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, March 25, 2024, and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2024, all in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver St., Freeburg, MO, with his funeral following at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. William D. Debo officiating.

Interment will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg under the direction of the of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
