Obituary

Ambrose Anton Wieberg, age 91, of Argyle, was born March 16, 1934, a son of Emil Adam and Mary "Mamie" Mathilda (Kampeter) Wieberg.  He passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while in the Westphalia Hills Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle. Ambrose was a lifelong farmer. He lived and worked on the family farm which his parents purchased in 1916. He took pride in hard work and kept his farm immaculate. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle, walking, mowing grass, watching his purple martin birds, reading, listening to country music on his radio, and Cardinal baseball.

Those left to mourn his passing include nieces, Linda West, Louise Brewer, Irene London and husband, Gary, Janet Larkin and husband, Joseph, Julie Bucek and husband, Paul; nephews, James Wieberg, Kevin Wieberg and wife Ashley, and niece-in-law Fran Wieberg, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emil, on March 31, 1982; his mother, Mary, on September 13, 1985; and five brothers and four sisters, Herbert on January 3, 1976; Loretta on September 4, 2001; Balbina on May 23, 1991; Edwin Wieberg on October 8, 1999; Leander Wieberg on August 4, 2020; Walter Wieberg on January 16, 2015; Flora on August 8, 1927; Odillia on November 15, 2012; and Cletus on December 5, 2009; nieces, Patricia Schaffer on November 1, 1997; and Loraine Schaffer on October 4, 2025; and nephew, David Wieberg on August 18, 2023.

A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. and visitation will be held for Mr. Wieberg from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 noon all on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, Missouri, with Rev. Basil Tigga and Deacon Michael Brooks officiating.

Interment will be in the St Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers will be Kevin Wieberg, Alvin Wieberg, Keith Tappel, Tim Brunnert, Jim Brunnert, Mark Schmitz; and honorary pallbearer is James Wieberg.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family for Masses with envelopes available at the church on the day of his service or c/o the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582
