Andrea Kay Powers, age 51, of Dixon, was born on August 18, 1972, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of Charles Junior and Beverly Kay (Ayers) Straight, and passed from this life on Monday, March 25, 2024 in the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.
Andrea was united in marriage on December 31, 1996, at Dixon to Lawrence Dean Powers. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles on January 16, 2018; a son, Russell Powers; her maternal grandparents, Hoover and Ruby (Casto) Ayers.
Andrea was a member of the Grace Covenant, Buckhorn. She was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. Andrea enjoyed walking, hunting, fishing, being with her grandchildren and loved her family dearly. She was a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker.
Those left to mourn the passing of Andrea include: her husband, Dean Powers of their home near Dixon; her mother, Beverly Straight, Ripley, West Virginia; her children, Devon Gant, Dixon; Keith (Kelly) Straight, St. Robert; Ashley (Brandon) Zayed, Ripley, West Virginia; Christopher (Jordyn) Gant, Iberia and Elizabeth (David) Graver, Lebanon; her brothers, Michael (Carolyn) Straight and Adrain Straight; aunts and uncle, Paul (Cindy) Ayers and Kimberly Ayers; sixteen grandchildren; nephews; nieces and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Andrea Kay Powers will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Friday, March 29, 2024, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459, with her funeral service following in the chapel at 12:00 noon., with Pastor Paul Wood, officiating.
Interment will be in the Hazelgreen Cemetery, in Laclede County, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
Memorial contributions are suggested in memory of Mrs. Andrea Kay Powers to the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia with envelopes available at the office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, or P.O. Box EE, Dixon, MO 65459.
