Arthur Edward Sinden, Sr., of Iberia, was born on September 28, 1949, at Dixon, a son of Roy Elmo and Dora Della (Thompson) Sinden, and departed this life at 8:39 a.m., on Friday, January 22, 2021, in the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, from injuries suffered from an explosion and fire at his residence on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He had attained the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

Arthur was a member of the Iberia Masonic Lodge No. 410 A.F. & A.M. He especially enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. During most of his working life, Arthur worked in various types of construction, and at the time of his passing, he was employed at the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center, Tuscumbia, as Maintenance Supervisor.

Those left to mourn the passing of Arthur include: His children, Arthur E. Sinden, Jr. of Holts Summit, and Anna Schnieders of Iberia; his grandchildren, Elliott Schnieders and Maggie Sinden, both of Iberia; his siblings, Beulah Sanders of Kansas City, Kansas, Mabel Jane Evans of Mexico, Elva Sinden (Fay) of Dixon, Richard Sinden (Cathey) of St. Peters, John Sinden (Vickie) of Lake Ozark; Charles Sinden (Gladys) of Fulton, Mary Adkins (Dennis) of Meta, Alice Howard of Vienna, Curtis Sinden (Beth) of Dixon, Shirley Barnes (Bud) of Dixon, and Rocky Sinden of Jefferson City; the mother of his children, Nancy Ann (Pendleton) Sinden of Iberia; nephews, nieces, with greats and great-greats as well; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Edward Roy Euel Sinden on 2-18-1972; his companion, Patricia Ann Hendee, on 1-21-2021; his father, Roy, on 6-3-1983; his mother, Dora, on 11-24-1999; four brothers, Infant Brother on 9-26-1940, Dallas Sinden on 5-19-1984, James Sinden on 3-25-1985, William Sinden on 4-8-2010, and Roy Wayne Sinden on 11-2-2001; and three sisters, Martha Anderson, Alma Bowen, and Betty Gardowski.

Visitation for Mr. Arthur E. Sinden, Sr. will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 6, 2021, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with his funeral service following in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Randell A. Hoffman officiating.
