Barbara Charlene Bauer, of Freeburg, was born on May 13, 1948, at Waynesville, a daughter of Alphonse Henry and Leoba Marie (Luecke) Bauer, and departed this life at 8:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.  She had attained the age of 71 years, 1 month, and 16 days.

Barbara was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg.  During her working life, she had been employed by the Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, until 1985, after twenty years of service, and continued to be self-employed on the family farm, near Freeburg, until her passing.

Those left to mourn the passing of Barbara include:  Her brother, Michael Bauer, and wife, Susan, of Freeburg; her sister, Mildred "Micki" Bauer, of Freeburg; three nieces, Heather Hutchison and husband, Les, of Freeburg, Connie Bauer of Rich Fountain, and Tracy Murphy and husband, Michael, of Ashland; five great-nephews and nieces, Jaclyn Hutchison, Christina Hutchison, Dallas Hutchison, Ty Hutchison, and Ellie Murphy; her pet dog, Biscuit; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alphonse, on November 1, 1985; her mother, Leoba, on February 8, 1970; and her pet dog, Pepper.

Visitation for Barbara Bauer will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, Missouri  65035.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Bauer will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, Missouri  65035, with the Rev. William D. Debo as the Celebrant.

Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.  Pallbearers for Barbara will be Les Hutchison, Michael Murphy, Tom Rackers, Jay Locker, Sheldon Bauer, and Greg Dill, and her honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Welschmeyer and Orlando Rivera.
