Barton Edward "Bart" McBroom, age 62, of Dixon, was born January 5, 1962, and passed from this life Friday, January 12, 2024, at The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek, Springfield.

He was married in September of 2016, in Texas, to Ms. Jacqueline Lorene Flint.

Bart served in the United States Army and United States Airforce, and following his military service he went to work for the water department in Georgetown, Texas, retiring after 15 years due to his failing health.

In July of 2022, Bart was baptized into the Assembly of God Church.

Those left to mourn the passing of Bart include: his wife, Jackie, of the home near Dixon; one son; two daughters; two stepsons; one grandchild; one brother, Edward McBroom; and other relatives and friends.

Bart was preceded in death by his parents.

Following the wishes of Bart, the family elected cremation under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
