Obituary

Bernard F. Falter, age 79, of Argyle, was born on May 6,1944, in Maries County, a son of Henry and Mary Johanna (Bax) Falter and passed from this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Missouri, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Falter was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, and a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 2047, Argyle, for over 55 years. He worked for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, retiring after 40 years of service. Mr. Falter enjoyed hunting, fishing, bar-b-queuing, watching western shows, and gardening, but most of all he enjoyed watching and feeding wildlife around his home.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Falter include: his sisters, Mary Wieberg, Holts Summit; Pauline Wieberg; Josephine Steinman; Bernadine Wieberg and Frances Wieberg, all of Argyle; numerous nephews, nieces as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry on February 25, 1993; his mother, Mary on October 11, 1970; his brother, Clarence Falter and Clarence's wife, Frances Falter; five brothers-in-law, Albert Wieberg, Ildephonse Wieberg, Sylvester Steinman, Edmund Wieberg and Urban Wieberg; and a niece, Irene Rackers; and a great niece, Rachel Juergens.

A family viewing will be held for Mr. Falter from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., with a public rosary following at 4:00 p.m. led by the Knights of Columbus No. 2047, Argyle followed by visitation from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, Missouri 65582.

An additional visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 21, 2024, all in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, One Church Lane, Argyle, Missouri 65001, with Rev. Basil Tigga and Rev. James Finder celebrating and Deacon Michael Brooks assisting.

Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Argyle.

Memorial contributions are suggested for masses or in memory of Bernard Falter to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna or at the church the day of his service.
