Betty Lynn Buelterman, of Holts Summit, formerly of Vienna, was born on January 29, 1938, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl Lewis and Mary Elizabeth (Hammond) Cavins, and departed this life at 9:35 a.m., on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her residence. She had attained the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 3 days.
Betty was united in marriage on September 15, 1975, at Vienna, to John Arthur "Snoozer" Buelterman, who preceded his wife in death on November 11, 1993.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and followed him in baptism in 1996 while attending the Nashville Baptist Church in Nashville, Missouri and was currently attending the Harvest Time Ministry Church in Holts Summit. Betty was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4956 Auxiliary, Crocker; a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 1 Auxiliary, St. Louis, since 1988; and a member of the American Legion Post 5 Auxiliary, Jefferson City.
During her working life, she had been employed by the Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, and was later employed by Scholastic, Inc., Jefferson City, as a Cook for six years prior to her retirement on March 18, 1988. Activities Betty especially enjoyed included cooking, playing cards and bingo, watching television, and just being a friend and helping people in general.
Those left to mourn the passing of Betty include: Her children, Carl D. Mueller of Raymore, James P. Mueller (Debbie) of Coulterville, Illinois, and Rosemary Stratman (Jim) of Vienna; special sister-in-law and cherished friend, Dorothy Eads, of Holts Summit; her step-children, Danny W. Buelterman, Joseph Buelterman, and Joanna Bass, all of New Bedford, Massachusetts; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, "MooMoo"; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Frank David Mueller, on April 21, 1991; her father, Carl, on January 5, 1989; her mother, Mary, on April 13, 1988; a granddaughter; one step-son, John Arthur Buelterman, Jr.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bennie and Minnie Eads; and her puppy dog "Sparky".
