Obituary

Betty Ann Juergens, age 60, of Dixon, was born November 16, 1961, at St. Louis, a daughter of John Larry and Mabel Evelyn "Sally" (VanOstran) Rollins, and passed from this life Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Capital Regional Medical Center, Jefferson City.  Betty passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized while attending New Salem Baptist Church, near Dixon.  Betty was a 1980 graduate of Maries R-1 High School, Vienna.  She loved to dance, to dress up and look pretty for any occasion, to collect holy rocks and seashells, and collecting "Betty Boop" items.

During her working life, Betty was employed at the Garment Company in Meta, medical work in Jefferson City, and for the most part, restaurant work at Sally's Café in Vienna for twenty years.

Those left to celebrate the life of Betty include:  Two sons, Michael Juergens of Dixon, and Dusty Juergens and special friend, Brittany, of Rolla; one grandson, Ryan Michael Juergens, of Rolla; five siblings, Sherry Dale Rowden and husband, Kevin, of Meta, Deborah Kay Backues of Vienna, Donna Gay Murray of Dixon, John Wayne Rollins of Dixon, and John Lawrence Rollins of Boonville.

She was preceded in death by her father, John, on May 3, 2009; her mother, Sally, on December 19, 2003; one brother, Donald Warren "Donnie" Rollins; one nephew, Jason Rollins; and two brothers-in-law, Gene Backues and James Murray.

Betty, "better known as Betty Boop", will indeed be sadly missed by her dear family and all who knew and loved her.  We will miss you and all of us say together, "Fly High Betty Boop"!

Visitation Betty will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 South Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582 with a memorial service following at 12 noon.

Private family inurnment will be near beloved relatives in Wheeler Cemetery near Dixon in Maries County.  Honorary pallbearers for Betty will be Ryan Juergens, Travis Rowden, Little John Rollins, Justin Rollins, Jesse Rollins, Blake Rowden, Joe Backues, Chad Miller, Liz Bruemmer, and Gina Eisterhold.

Memorial contributions in memory of Betty are suggested to help purchase a monument to be placed at the head of her grave in Wheeler Cemetery, so all her relatives and friends can have a part in her "Heavenly Home Going".  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home the day of her service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
