Betty Iola Mynatt, age 63, of Dixon, was born January 31, 1959, in Clay County, Missouri, a daughter of William A. and Nancy Ella (Bolin) Mynatt, and passed from this life Saturday, December 31, 2022, in Capital Region Hospital, Jefferson City.

Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon where she was baptized.  A sweet and special soul, Betty was adopted into the Cotton family and the Dixon Community.  Through the years she had worked at the Sheltered Workshop, Crocker; was a faithful volunteer at the Dixon R-1 Elementary School; and was best known for her kindness and making friends with everyone.

Those left to cherish the memory of Betty include companion, Ray Hess, Dixon; several siblings; special friends, Viola Cotton, Dixon, and David Hess, Vienna; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willian on May 25, 1932; her mother, Nancy on July 23, 2017, and her grandparents.

Visitation for Betty will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home at 105 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Jack Caple, First Baptist Church, Dixon, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorials Estates, Waynesville, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon
