Obituary

Beverly Ann Veasman, of Vienna, was born on April 26, 1952, at Waynesville, a daughter of Lawrence Edward and Dorothy Mae (Chambers) Veasman, and departed this life on Friday, March 15, 2019, from an apparent heart attack.  She had attained the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

As a girl growing up, her family had attended the New Salem Baptist Church, near Dixon, and Beverly had been baptized after accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior.  She was a member of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Association and the American Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  Beverly especially enjoyed going to the library, reading, writing, poetry, and singing.  During her working life, she had been employed in restaurant work as a waitress and bartender while living in the states of Illinois and Florida.

Those left to mourn the passing of Beverly include:  Her siblings, Marilyn Veasman of Vienna, Billy Veasman of Judsonia, Arkansas, Brenda Rodriguez and husband, Pedro, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, Alice Veasman of Elmhurst, Illinois, Linda Veasman-Peters of Vienna, Sissy Veasman of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Michael Hopper of Wichita Falls, Texas; a half-brother, Brad Veasman, of Osage Beach; nephews; nieces; many other relatives; a host of friends; and her beloved dog and companion, Shorty Pants.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence, on May 5, 1983; her mother, Dorothy, on August 6, 2012; and a half-brother, Paul Brice Veasman, on January 31, 2019.

Visitation for Beverly Ann Veasman will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 23, in the Wheeler Church of Christ, 12995 Maries Road 607, Dixon, Missouri  65459, with her funeral service following at 1:00 p.m., in the Church, with Kevin Rowden as the speaker.

Disposition will be in the Wheeler Cemetery by Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.  Honorary pallbearers for Beverly are Billy Veasman, Michael Hopper, Pedro Rodriguez, Kevin Rowden, Gary Dudhadway, and Linda Veasman-Peters.

Memorial contributions in memory of Beverly Ann Veasman are suggested by her family to the Wheeler Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available the day of the service at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri  65582.
