Billy Oliver Snodgrass, age 82, of Meta, was born March 11, 1941, at Vienna, a son of Chester Norman "Ted" and Ruby Ruth (Copeland) Snodgrass, and passed from this life on Monday, February 12, 2024, in Landmark Hospital, Columbia.

He was united in marriage January 23, 1960, to his high school sweetheart, Melvena Adkins, and to this union four children were born.

During his working life, Billy worked for Brown Shoe Factory, Dixon, and then went on to drive a truck hauling feed for MFA-Vienna, and later drove a truck hauling cattle for Stratman Trucking, until he retired in the early 2000's.

Billy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin. He especially looked forward to the whole family getting together during their week-long vacation over the 4th of July at their cabin at Lost Weekend, where they played cards, fished, and enjoyed good food.

Those left to mourn the passing of Billy include: his loving wife of 64 years, Melvena, of the home near Meta; his children, Russell Snodgrass and wife, Phyllis, of Vienna, Rhonda Schwartz and husband, Roy, of Argyle, and Billy Snodgrass Jr. and wife, LeeAnn, of Vienna; his daughter-in-law, Dawn Snodgrass, of Meta; eight grandchildren, Dana Rehagen and husband, Kevin, Laurie Reeves and husband, Jason, Jamey Snodgrass and wife, Melanie, Amber Miller and husband, Kenneth, Casey Meier and husband, Jonathon, Caleb Schwartz and fiancé, Cheyenne, Bryce Snodgrass, and Mikayla Parker and husband, Nick;  twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Snodgrass of Vienna, and Dennis Snodgrass of Vichy; one sister, Vivian Sandbothe of Taos; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his son, Rowdy Snodgrass on January 24, 2024; his father, Ted on November 29, 1998; his mother, Ruby on April 22, 1997; and three siblings, Delmar Snodgrass on December 24, 2015, Velma Hayes on March 6, 2023, and Dallas Snodgrass on January 25, 2024.

Visitation for Billy Snodgrass, will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 1004 US Highway 63, Vienna, MO 65582, with his funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Chris Slocum officiating under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Immediately following the funeral service, the Snodgrass family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them in the Fellowship Hall located on the lower level of the church.

Serving as honorary pallbearers for Billy will be Dana Rehagen, Laurie Reeves, Jamey Snodgrass, Amber Miller, Casey Meier, Caleb Schwartz, Bryce Snodgrass, and Mikayla Parker.
