Bobby Joe "Bob" Reeves, age 79, of Jefferson City, was born on November 4, 1945, at Steelville, a son of William Leonard and Lula Rosa (Thompson) Reeves and passed from this life on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the SSM St. Mary's, Jefferson City.
Mr. Reeves was united in marriage on October 2, 1970, at Vienna, to Miss Helen Marie West and to this union, five children were born.
Mr. Reeves was baptized early in life and had attended the Assembly of God Church. He had worked in a sawmill and at Langenburg Hat factory both in Vienna. Mr. Reeves enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, playing cards, and watching westerns. He was an excellent cook, and some of his family favorites were his chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and biscuits and gravy.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Reeves include: his wife, Helen Reeves, Jefferson City; his children, Kenny Reeves, Jefferson City; Bobbie Bungart (Michael), Holts Summit; Vanessa Otto, Jefferson City; Rosa Ecute, Jefferson City and Russell Reeves, Jefferson City; two brothers, Sam (Nancy) Reeves, Loose Creek and Wayne (Sherry) Reeves, St. Elizabeth; four sisters, Sharlene (Dan) Lester, South Carolina; Donna (Ed) Hasley, North Dakota; Darlene (Donnie) Mengwasser, Linn; and Verla Tedana, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jorge, Jr., Rachel, Jordan, Jasmine, Blake, Josh, Victoria, Kendall and Eric; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leonard and Lula Rosa; two brothers, Leroy Reeves and William Junior "Bill" Reeves and one sister, Susie Rush.
Visitation will be held for Mr. Reeves from 11 a.m. until the time of his service at 12 p.m., all on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Chapel, 406 S. Main St., Vienna, with Bro. Russell Summers, Celebration of Life Church, Rolla officiating.
Interment will follow in the Little Flock Cemetery near Vienna under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers for Mr. Reeves are Russell Reeves, Jorge Ecute, Jr., Jordan Sanchez, Joshua Reeves, David Akers and Michael Bungart and honorary pallbearers are Kenny Reeves, Sam Reeves, and Wayne Reeves.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Bobby Joe "Bob" Reeves are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
