Obituary

Bonnie Fern Bolten, of Rolla, formerly of Dixon, was born on July 28, 1939, at Dixon, a daughter of Otha Lee and Melba Fern (Fuller) Null, and departed this life at 10:00 a.m., on Sunday morning, September 4, 2016, at her residence. She had attained the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 6 days.

Mrs. Bolten was united in marriage on July 8, 1972, at Dixon, to Gerald F. Bolten who preceded her in death on June 14, 1977. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father, Otha, on December 30, 1991; her mother, Melba, on July 18, 2014; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Hutson, on July 15, 2000, and Franklin Prewett, on October 20, 2011.

Bonnie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and followed Him in baptism early in life. She had attended Needmore Mission Church, Dixon, Gospel Ridge Church, St. Robert, Gasconade Baptist Church, Dixon, and Gospel Tabernacle, Dixon. Bonnie was a cook for the Dixon R-1 Schools for nineteen years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gospel singing, and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan. Bonnie was a devoted housewife and homemaker, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Bolten include: Two sons, Robert Lee "Bob" Terry and wife, Amber, Rolla, and Dwight Wayne Terry and wife, Kimberly, Warrenton; six grandchildren, Andrea Terry, Alyssa Cosby, Travin Terry, Holden Terry, Shyann Terry, and Dustin Terry; three sisters, Genieve Prewett, Marie Hutson-Bell and husband, Franz, and Linda Jo Routh and husband, Jimmy all of Dixon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Seaton Cemetery, Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Dixon Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
