Brenda Jean McKinnon, age 61, of Warrenton, formerly of Dixon, was born April 8, 1960, at Waynesville, a daughter of Charles Dean and JoAnn (Owen) McKinnon, and passed from this life Sunday, October 24, 2021, at her home in Warrenton.

Brenda enjoyed being outside hanging out on her back porch listening to any type of music.  She also liked going to Big Joel's Safari Petting Zoo to play with all the animals.  At home, Brenda loved playing with her collection of baby dolls and was known for having a sweet tooth by enjoying eating all kinds of sweet treats.  She could also be very stubborn at times and will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Brenda is survived by her loving family and caregivers of 13 years, brother, Thomas McKinnon (Rhonda) of Warrenton; nephew, Nathan Diehl (Sam) and their daughters, Olivia and Penny, plus one great-nephew on the way, all of Warrenton; niece, Allyssa Orcino (Danny) of Lake St. Louis; partner in crime, Phyllis Meyer (Kevin) of Warrenton; her sisters, Deana Dumers of Jefferson City, Suzy Stratman (Tom) of Vienna, Tracey Smith (Jay) of Killeen, Texas; brothers, Charles Dean McKinnon Jr. of Dixon, Travis McKinnon of Vienna, Timmy McKinnon (Joni) of Dixon, J. T. McKinnon (Jessica) of Vienna; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and JoAnn McKinnon; brothers, Freddie McKinnon and Bob McKinnon; nephew, Jacob McKinnon; sisters-in-law, Loretta McKinnon and Kitsy McKinnon; brother-in-law, Terry Dumers; and family friend and caregiver, Kathy Belew.

We will celebrate the life of Brenda Jean McKinnon with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, MO 63383.

The celebration of Brenda's life will continue with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459.
