Obituary

Brenda Elaine Tyler, age 78, of Dixon, was born December 3, 1945, near Hayden, in Maries County, a daughter of Chester Wesley and Martha Isabelle (Roberson) Jennings, and passed from this life on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in her home.

She was united in marriage on April 22, 1967, in the Kenner Church of God, to Mr. Charles Lee Tyler, and to this union two children were born.

Brenda was baptized early in life and was a member of the Kenner Church of God, near Dixon. During her working life, Brenda was a teacher's aide at Maries R-1, until retiring after 20 years of service to take care of her mother. Brenda enjoyed shopping, her cats, word games, puzzles, and visiting her friends and family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Brenda include: her loving husband of 57 years, Charlie, of Dixon; two sons, Travis Tyler of Wentzville, and Terry Tyler of Sullivan, Illinois; one sister, Carolyn Sue Boroughf of Brentwood; many beloved nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Chester on September 5, 1991; her mother, Martha on September 19, 2019; and her brother, Larry Jennings on May 26, 2012.

Visitation for Mrs. Brenda Tyler will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Kenner Church of God, 17996 Maries Road 505, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral services following at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Beverly Sharp officiating under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.

Interment for Mrs. Brenda Tyler will be in the Kenner Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mrs. Brenda Tyler will be Terry Tyler, Travis Tyler, Shawn Jennings, Eli Deckard, Wyatt Deckard, Beaude Deckard, and Bennie Waldron. Honorary Pallbearer for Mrs. Brenda Tyler will be Gary Cummings.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Brenda Tyler, in lieu of flowers, are suggested by her family to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care fund with envelopes available at the Church on the day of her service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
