Carolyn Ann
Honse
Apr 19, 1944 — May 16, 2018
Carolyn Ann Honse, age 74, of Vienna, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on April 19, 1944 in Jefferson City, Missouri, a daughter of Clarence W. and Mona M. (Coffelt) Held. She was married March 30, 1968 in Morrison, Missouri, to Lloyd Henry Honse who survives at the home.
Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother. In addition to spending time with her family, she loved the outdoors and spent countless hours in her flower beds and garden. She enjoyed sharing the produce, canning, sewing, card making, building birdhouses, and crafts of all sorts. Carolyn had a home daycare for many years and loved watching her "kids" grow up and seeing them build their lives and families. Many of them remained a very important part of her life. Carolyn was a member of the Rolla Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and took comfort in her deep faith and love for Jehovah God.
In addition to her husband Lloyd, survivors include: two daughters, Tisha McGowan and husband Shannon of California, Missouri, and Lynette Honse of Vienna, Missouri; two sisters, Linda (Roger) Wuelling of Chamois, Missouri, and Marsha (Herbert) Landstreet of Memphis, Tennessee; five sisters in-law, Norma Krenning, Linda Honse, Wanda (Billy) Hutson, Wilma (Rod) Hauser, and Margie Fowler; four brothers in-law, Wesley (Jane) Honse, Gary (Debbie) Honse, Roger Honse and Dennis Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leonard Held; four sisters in-law, Louise Feeler, Helen Adams, Marilyn Lewis and Christina Honse; and one brother in-law, Elmer (Bud) Krenning.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Carolyn Ann Honse are suggested by her family to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 4215 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63108, or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
