Catherine Johanna "Katie" Brunnert, age 91, of Argyle, was born March 11, 1930, at Argyle, the only child of Henry John and Gertrude Catherine (Schulte) Koerber, and passed from this life Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Maries Manor, Vienna.
She was united in marriage June 13, 1953, at Argyle, to Joseph George "Joe" Brunnert, with Joe and Katie enjoying 57 years of married life, prior to his death on June 20, 2010.
Katie was a faithful member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a strong supporter of the VFW Post 8045 Auxiliary, both in Argyle. In addition to being a devoted housewife and homemaker to her husband, she was employed in Housekeeping for most of her working life, prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Brunnert is survived by three sisters-in-laws, Dolores Brunnert of Thornton, Colorado; Mary Brunnert of Mustang, Oklahoma; and Elaine Brunnert of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; nephews and nieces, with great and great-greats as well; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Henry, on December 25, 1948; her mother, Gertrude, on March 22, 1965; her six half-brothers and six half-sisters in age order, George Koerber, Kundagunda "Kunda" Weidinger-Volmert, Frank Koerber, Mary Recker, Johanna Kluempers, John Koerber, Henry Koerber, Leo Koerber, Joe Koerber, Ann Cramer, Regina Koerber (Died at birth and Peggy's twin), and Bernadine "Peggy" Markuly.
Visitation for Mrs. Katie Brunnert will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 1 Church Lane, Argyle, MO 65001, with her Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. Basil Tigga as the celebrant and Deacon Michael Brooks assisting, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Interment will be next to her beloved husband, Joe, in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle, by Birmingham-Martin, Vienna.
Immediately following the cemetery interment ceremony, the Brunnert family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them in the VFW Hall, 36776 Highway T, Argyle, MO 65001.
Memorial contributions in Memory of Mrs. Katie Brunnert are suggested by her family to the St. Aloysius Endowment Fund with envelopes available at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
