Cathy Ann Hezlep, of Dixon, was born on April 29, 1970, in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of Donald and Debra (Stockdale) Hezlep, and departed tis life at 3:35 p.m., on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at her residence near Dixon. She had attained the age of 49 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

Cathy was a member of the Methodist Faith and was baptized at the Lewistown Methodist Church, Lewiston, Illinois in 1971. She was a 1988 graduate of Karlsruhe American High School, Karlsruhe, Germany. During her working life she was employed with the federal government both in Germany and at Fort Leonard Wood, later she was an information technician with the Veteran's Administration, St. Louis working as long as her health would permit. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and was a homemaker.

Those left to mourn the passing of Cathy include: One son, Christian Perez, Galveston, Indiana; her parents, Donald and Debra Hezlep, Dixon; one brother, James Hezlep and wife, Theresa, Smethport, Pennsylvania; two nieces, Samantha and Alix; and other relatives and friends.

The way Cathy lived and interacted with others was the best tribute anyone could have for their life. Fond and precious memories will always be remembered in the hearts of her dear family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Cathy's family and friends will gather at a later occasion to remember her life at a service of remembrance.
