Charlsie Lea Creamer, of Dixon, was born on June 23, 1922, near Dixon, in Maries County, a daughter of William Everett and Ethel Genevieve (Doyel) Bullock, and departed this life at 11:22 p.m., on Sunday, March 15, 2020, in the Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach. She had attained the age of 97 years, 8 months, and 23 days.
Charlsie was united in marriage on March 5, 1946, at Dixon, to Rockford Eads Creamer, and to this union, two children were born.
She was a member of the First Church of God, Dixon. Early in life she had been a teacher at High Point School and later was employed at Brown Shoe Factory, Dixon for thirty-four years, until her retirement in 1985. Charlsie enjoyed word search puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, embroidering, and flower gardening. She especially enjoy her family and watching all of her grandchildren.
Those left to mourn the passing of Charlsie include: Her daughter, Connie Thompson, Dixon; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Creamer, Dixon; five grandchildren, Brian Thompson, (Amy), Bolivar; Kris Hinkle (Daniel), Stephanie Plemmons (Rick), Neil Creamer, and Jeffrey Creamer (Amanda), all of Dixon; nine great-grandchildren, Erika Thompson, Karli Cirrincione (Cody), Delaney Plemmons, Alyson Thompson, John Creamer, Jaxon Thompson, Traci Creamer, Emersyn Creamer, and Jude Creamer; two great-great-grandchildren, Autumn and Owen Cirrincione; nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rockford, on March 25, 2009; son, Perry Kent Creamer, on July 12, 1994; son-in-law, George Leroy Thompson, September 7, 2019; father, Everett, on January 12, 1966; mother, Ethel, on November 21, 1980; siblings, Raymond Bullock on September 28, 2013, Jessie Slone on November 3, 2001, Bennett Bullock on August 22, 2008, and Donna Perry on August 18, 2009.
Visitation for Mrs. Creamer was held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. Jerry Dooley, Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon officiating.
Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Creamer was Brian Thompson, Rick Plemmons, Jeffrey Creamer, Neil Creamer, Daniel Hinkle, and Mike Slone. Honorary pallbearers were Stephanie Plemmons, Kris Hinkle, Duayn Slone, Dwight Slone, and Jim Perry.
Memorials are suggested by the family of Mrs. Creamer to the donor's choice with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459
