Chuck Gordon McDaniel, of Iberia, was born on January 17, 1958, at Key West, Florida, a son of Tillman Lafayette "Mac" and Relvie (Lay) McDaniel, and departed this life at 12:03 p.m., on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at his residence. He had attained the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 10 days.

During his working life, Chuck had been employed as a Sawer and Foreman for the Kraml Wood Products Company, near Tuscumbia, for twenty-five years. Activities he enjoyed during his life included hunting, wood working, and reading, especially "Westerns".

Those left to mourn the passing of Chuck include: His father and step-mother, Mac and Janelle "Jan" McDaniel, of Iberia; two sons, Travis Dale McDaniel of Montreal, and Nicholas Gordon McDaniel of Iberia; four grandchildren, Raylei McDaniel, Haylee McDaniel, Jaxie McDaniel, and Joel McDaniel, all of Iberia; two sisters, Treva Squires and husband, Terry, of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Renita Neibuhr and husband, Mark, of Fruitland, Idaho; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Relvie McDaniel, in 1983; and his infant brother, Robert Lee McDaniel, at the age of seventeen days, in November of 1964.

Chuck was a quiet person, never seeking attention, living a simple life, with his idea of a good time being in his recliner and reading. No memorial services are planned. Fond and precious memories of Chuck will always be remembered in the hearts of his dear family and all who knew and loved him.
