Helen Claudine Thiltgen, of Dixon, was born on May 9, 1954, at Waynesville, the daughter of Claude Eugene and Helen Marie (West) Chambers, and departed this life at 10:54 a.m., on Friday, February 1, 2019, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, surrounded by her family. She had attained the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 20 days.
Claudine was united in marriage on June 19, 1971, at Dixon, to Eugene Charles Thiltgen, and to this union, two children were born.
She was a member of the Sheppard Baptist Church, near Dixon, and was baptized there in the year of 2000. During her working life, Claudine had been employed in the Maries County Clerk's Office in Vienna, and at the LB Manufacturing Company in Iberia, until medical disability caused early retirement.
Claudine loved working in her flowers from daylight to dark and caring for her animals, especially her cats and chickens. She never met a stranger and was always willing to have a conversation.
Those left to mourn the passing of Claudine include: Her husband, Eugene Thiltgen, of the home near Dixon; her children, Chris Thiltgen and wife, Katy, of Dixon, and Donna Lynn Armstrong and husband, Andrew, of Fulton; her grandchildren, Lydia Roberson; Izzy, C.J., and Emma Thiltgen; and Alex and Adam Armstrong; her great-granddaughter, Lucy; her brother, Tony Chambers, of Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude, on March 5, 1988; her mother, Helen, on October 19, 2002; and brothers, Ralph Chambers on April 17, 1988, and Roy Chambers in about 2015.
Visitation for Claudine will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
Funeral services for Mrs. Claudine Thiltgen will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the Dixon Chapel with the Rev. Tom Maples and the Rev. Austin McCormick officiating.
Interment will be in the Wheeler Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Claudine will be Alex Armstrong, C.J. Thiltgen, Bryan Coward, Kyle Thiltgen, Mark Thiltgen, and Dale Thiltgen, and her honorary pallbearers will be Lydia Roberson, Izzy Thiltgen, Emma Thiltgen, Adam Armstrong, Bailey Solan and Riley Solan.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Claudine Thiltgen are suggested per the wishes of her family with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
