Obituary

Connie Clydette Boucher, age 73, of Dixon, was born July 7, 1949, at Dixon, a daughter of Clyde and Nora (Richmond) York, and passed from this life Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City.

She was united in marriage December 15, 1972, at the Dixon Church of Christ, to Ralph Louis Boucher, to this union, two children were born.

Connie was baptized by immersion according to Biblical scripture, Matthew 28: 19-20, in 1972, at the Dixon Church of Christ.  She was very active in the Dixon Church of Christ, where she enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher at various times, and she also enjoyed cooking meals for church gatherings and for those in need.  She especially enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren about God and Christ.

She was a 1967 graduate of the Dixon R-1 High School.  Connie received her elementary education at the West Fairview School, which was a one room school near Dixon in Maries County.  She would reminisce and share stories about how she and her brother, Ronnie York, would walk to school, the one and a half miles from their home, through rain, snow, and sunshine.

During her working life, Connie had been employed by the Brown Shoe Company in Dixon and the Dixon R-1 Schools as a School Cook for twelve years.  She was also a devoted housewife and homemaker to her husband and family through the years as well.

Connie loved spending time with her family, especially when she could cook for them and try new recipes to share with them.  She cherished each one of them and talked about them often when she had the opportunity.

Those left to celebrate the life of Connie include:  Her husband, Louis, of their home near Dixon; her daughter, Sunshine Shanks, and husband, Bruce, of Belle; her son, Ralph Boucher, and wife, Amber, of Dixon; four grandchildren, Paul Shanks, and wife, Lainyn, of Belle, and Alexa Hall, Kelsea Boucher, and Maddie Boucher, all of Dixon; two sisters, Penny Watson, and husband, Rex, of Rolla, and Dottie York of Dixon; one brother, Buddy York, and wife, Susie, of Dixon; nephews, nieces, with great-nephews and nieces as well; in-laws; other relatives; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Nora York; one brother, Ronald "Ronnie" York; and one grandson, Cameron Shanks.

Visitation for Mrs. Connie Boucher will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Dixon Church of Christ, 12000 Highway 28, Dixon, MO 65459, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Randy Carr officiating under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral in Dixon.

Interment for Mrs. Boucher will be in the West Fairview Cemetery, near Dixon.  Pallbearers for Connie will be Brent Holtsclaw, Brian Holtsclaw, Rex Watson, Jeremy Irvin, Austin Johnson, and Jim Weider, with Billy Johnson as honorary pallbearer.

Immediately following the cemetery service, the Boucher family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them at the Dixon Church of Christ.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Connie Boucher are suggested by her family to the Fair Haven Children's Home, 3132 North Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757; with envelopes available the day of her service; or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, MO 65459.
