Obituary

Cynthia Ann  Dunlap, age 64, of Dixon, formerly of Sopchoppy, Florida, was born January 11, 1957, in the country of Japan, while her father was in the U.S. military, a daughter of Robert Gene and Virginia Eloise (Rathel) Rogowski, and departed this life Thursday, May 6, 2021, in Phelps Health, Rolla.

She was united in marriage May 22, 1981, in the state of Florida, to William Jeffrey "Jeff" Dunlap, and to this union, two daughters were born.

Prior to moving to the Dixon area in 2016, Cynthia was a member of the Church of Christ, Sopchoppy, Florida.  She was a published author of poems and a member of The Poetry Society.  Cynthia especially liked writing, composition, being a part of her church family, and thoroughly enjoying anything to do with Elvis Presley.  During her working life, she had been employed as a manager in retail businesses, and as a care provider prior to moving to Missouri from Florida.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Dunlap include:  Two daughters, Julie Ann Lamberton (Michael), Dixon, and Lisa Marie Seber (Robert), Crawfordsville, Florida; four grandchildren, Robert Zeke Taylor, Brook Danielle Carroll (Jasper), Amber Elizabeth Lamberton, and Drake Seber; one great-grandchild, Aurora Grace Carroll; her sister and brother, Pamela Jean Purvis (Jim), and Michael George Rogowski, all of the state of Florida; her father-in-law, David Lester Dunlap, Sr., state of Florida; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff (2014); her parents, Robert and Virginia; one sister, Patricia Lynn Bajerski; one brother, Robert Gene "Bobby" Rogowski; paternal grandmother, Betrice Ann Rogowski; maternal great-grandmother, Lola Henderson; her mother-in-law, Willie Jean (Harden) Dunlap; and a brother-in-law, David Lester Dunlap, Jr.

A funeral service is being planned for Saturday, June 26, 2021, in the Church of Christ, Sopchoppy, Florida, with interment to follow there in the Westside Cemetery.
