Cynthia Arlene York , age 71, of Dixon, was born September 27, 1951, at West Point, New York, a daughter of Lyle Phillip and Arlene Thelma (Sedgwick) Marshall, and passed from this life, Monday, May 29, 2023, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.

She was united in marriage on October 27, 2021, at Waynesville, to Douglas William York.

She was a member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship, Crocker, and was employed with civil service as an instructor for 30 plus years in retiring January of 2016.  Cindy enjoyed sewing and camping.

Those left to celebrate the life of Cindy include: her husband, Doug, of the home near Dixon; children, Samantha Burress (Robert), Gaston South, Carolina; Amanda Rule (Daniel), Dixon; Jon Veach, Callaway, Maryland; Jodi Hollandsworth (Michael), Jackson; and Jason Veach, Tumwater, Washington; siblings, Ron Marshall (Mary Ellen), Rolla; and Wendy Conklin (Blake), Camdenton; eleven grandchildren, Brock Robinett, Kelsi Pousosa, Kirsten Hollandsworth, Grant Robinett, Chase Hollandsworth, Lacey Norton, Clark Hollandsworth, Evan Norton, Rab Burress, Aria Burress, and Wyatt Rule; great grandson, Joel Pousosa, and many other relatives and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by two daughters, Shana Hollandsworth, and an infant daughter; and a brother, Donnie Marshall.

A celebration of life for Cindy will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 103 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
