Obituary

Dalton Paul Welschmeyer, age 21, of Argyle, was born August 10, 2000, at Jefferson City, the son of Anthony Curtis "Tony" and Krista Lee (Wolfgang) Welschmeyer, and passed from this life Monday, August 8, 2022, at his residence near Argyle.

The Welschmeyer family has been an integral part of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, for decades and was where Dalton was baptized.  The feelings of his family are as if they're taking him back home for his funeral mass and burial.  He was an honor student and class of 2019 graduate of Fatima High School, Westphalia, and a May of 2022 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the State Technical College of Missouri, Linn, in Welding. Dalton truly loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming, gaming, being with his friends, and loved thunderstorms like nobody's business. He could often be found gazing at the stars and was an avid lover of sunsets.

Those left to celebrate the life of Dalton include:  His parents, Tony and Krista Welschmeyer, Argyle; two sisters, Abigail Welschmeyer (Zachary Bond) of Argyle, and Chelsey Hedges, of Freeburg, with her children, Jocelyn Hedges, Hallie Hedges, and a baby boy anticipated in February of 2023; maternal grandparents, Richard and Sandy Wolfgang, of Osage Beach; maternal uncle, Scott Wolfgang and his daughter, Alayna Wolfgang, of Osage Beach; paternal uncles and aunts, Rhonda Allen (Kevin), Freeburg; Holly Krieg (Curt), Linn; Barry Welschmeyer, and Paula Fick (Norbert), all of Freeburg; and Shawn Welschmeyer (Kelly), of Koeltztown; cousins; other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Josephine (Luecke) Welschmeyer.
