Obituary

Danny Gene Baker, age 65, of Dixon, was born October 5, 1956, at Waynesville, a son of Kenneth Earl and Barbara Lois (Means) Baker, and passed from this life Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Columbia.

Danny was baptized early in life at the First Baptist Church, Dixon.  He had been a carpenter, and was a member of the Carpenters Union, St. Louis, restored old cars, was a mechanic, and worked for Cable America until his health would no longer permit.

Those left to mourn the passing of Danny include: His children, Kristy Jo Baker and Charles Smith, St. James; Guy Daniel Baker, and David Gene Baker (Laurel) all of Vienna; sister, Karen Nave, Wellsville; six grandchildren, Kalob, Gracie, Ashley, Aleksa, Nolan, and Landon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: One son, Kenneth Thomas Ray Baker on August 18, 2017; his father, Kenneth on May 9, 2015; his mother, Barbara, on September 18, 2005; one brother, Terry Earl Baker, on July 21, 2006; paternal grandparents, Guy and Violet (Kelley) Baker; and maternal grandparents, Jerry and Lucy (Jett) Means.

Visitation for Danny will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, in the Dixon Cemetery, with graveside services following at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Chuck Baker officiating under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

Honorary pallbearers for Danny will be Roy McKinnon, Jesse Vance, Ray Barnhart, Randall Hayes, Kenny Wilson, and Donnie Beal.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Danny Gene Baker are suggested by his family to help with expenses with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
