David Michael Deeken, age 70, of Vienna, was born September 29, 1950, at Jefferson City, a son of Henry Vincent and Elizabeth Mary (Redel) Deeken, and passed from this life Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in Villa Marie, Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage April 15, 1972, at Jefferson City, to the former Miss Shirley Ann Deppe, and to this union, one child was born.

David was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Vienna, and for most of his working life, was self-employed in timber work as a wood cutter, prior to his retirement.

Those left to mourn the passing of David include: His son, Bradley Deeken (Ashley Colleen Walser), of rural Dixon; his one grandson, David Gabriel "Gabe" Deeken, of the home; one brother, Harold Deeken (Joan), rural Meta; sister-in-law, Imelda Deeken Riley, Vienna; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (10-15-1997); his father, Henry (8-17-1996); his mother, Elizabeth (7-11-1984); his sisters and brothers, Leona "Sis" Busche (2-17-2018), Lucille        "Lucy" Libbert (12-7-2020), Frances Falter (9-2-2018), John Deeken (11-9-2016), Clemens "Pat" Deeken (1-27-1969), Charles Deeken (12-6-1999), Henry Deeken, Jr. (7-9-1968), and two infant brothers, Anthony Deeken (11-20-1938) and Joseph Deeken (5-17-1942).

The family of Mr. David Deeken will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 105 North Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, with his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. Basil Tigga as the celebrant under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Interment will be next to his beloved wife, Shirley, in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Vienna.

Immediately following the cemetery committal ceremony for David, the Deeken family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a luncheon meal with them in Coffey Brothers Memorial American Legion Post 12 Hall, 541 1st Street, Vienna, MO 65582.
