David Lynn Lick, age 70, of Springfield, formerly Dixon, was born , November 14, 1953, in Rolla, a son of Charles Spencer and Melba Louise (Irvin) Lick, and passed from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

David accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior while attending the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Springfield.

He was a 1972 graduate of Dixon R-1 High School.  David was a painter for all of his working life and was a member of the Painters Union Local number 1265-1185 for twenty years. He was an avid NASCAR; Larry Bird; and St. Louis Cardinals fan; enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles; river fishing, scuba diving; and sports of all kinds.

Those left to mourn the passing of David include: his children, Jason Lick, Springfield and Josh Lick and wife, Ashley, Jefferson City; grandson, Tristan Lick, Jefferson City; brother, Charles (Butch) Lake, St. Peters; sister-in-law, Diane Lick, Washington; his former wife, Sharon Hutchison, Vienna; nephews; nieces, and other relative and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his mother, Melba; siblings, Dennis W. Lick, Kathryn M. Lick, and John D. Lick; and the mother of his children, Anita Sue (Wright) Lick.

Visitation for Mr. David L. Lick will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Friday December 22, 2023, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459, with his funeral service following at 12:30 p.m. Private interment will be in Dixon Cemetery, Dixon, all under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
