Deborah Yvonne Trujillo, of Westphalia, was born August 11, 1964, at Columbia, a daughter of Charles Henry and Vera Jane (Hemme) Backman, and departed this life at 4:28 p.m., on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She had attained the age of 55 years, 5 months, 11 days.
Mrs. Trujillo was united in marriage on May 5, 2006, at Berryville, Arkansas, to Timothy Don Trujillo.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, and during her working life, Deborah had been employed in the hospitality industry for over twenty-five years. The things she enjoyed the most were spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies, garage saleing, crafts, cooking, and her dogs.
Those left to mourn the passing of Deborah include: Her husband, Timothy Trujillo, of Westphalia; two daughters, Jamie Asbury and husband, Brian, of Springfield; and Victoria Holmes and husband, Patrick, of Westphalia; four grandchildren, Aiden Asbury, Mya Asbury, Madison Asbury, and Zoe Holmes; her parents, Charles and Vera Backman, of Jefferson City; her step-children; four brothers, Marshal McCarty and wife, Sharon, of Calico; Daryl McCarty and wife, Peggy, of La Grange; Gary Dennis Foster of Boonville; and Jim Backman, and wife, Sue, of Westphalia; two sisters, Marilyn Laudell and husband, Terry, of Canton; and Malinda Crawford, and husband, Hollis, of Brashear; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Trujillo and wife, Chris, Thornton, Colorado; Ron Noakes and wife, Verla, Wild Horse, Colorado; Perfeato Trujillo and wife, Melinda, state of Arizona; Darlene Mowry, Aurora, Colorado; Helen Miller and Rose Clay, both of Dunnegan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother and father-in-law, step-son, brother and one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Mrs. Trujillo will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 4409 St. Johns Road, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Gerald Scheperle and Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
