Delores Josefa Hoffman, of Jefferson City, was born on November 9, 1947, at Freeburg, a daughter of Edward Joseph and Marie (Steinman) Wieberg, and departed this life at 2:23 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City.  She had attained the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

Delores was first united in marriage September 14, 1968, at Freeburg, to Anthony August Mengwasser, who preceded his wife in death April 15, 1978.  She again was united in marriage March 13, 1982, at Freeburg, to Joseph Frank "Butchie" Hoffman,.

Delores grew up in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, and during her life, had attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Westphalia, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jefferson City.  She enjoyed doing needlepoint, quilting, cooking, gardening, caring for her home, and babysitting her grandchildren and other children.

During her working life, she had been employed by Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, in the Screen Department, for a number of years as well as being a devoted homemaker throughout her life.

Delores is survived by: Childrendren, Andy Mengwasser (Priscilla), Koeltztown, Norman Mengwasseer (Wanda), New Bloomfield, and April Chouinard, Amanda Block (Daniel), and Christopher Hoffman (Jessica), all of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Ayden Chouinard, Jace Chouinard, Cash Chouinard, and Kenslee West; siblings, Rita Ann Lynch, Jefferson City, and John Wieberg (Judy), Alfred "Fritz" Wieberg, and Donna Baysinger, all of Freeburg; sister-in-law, Geraldine Wieberg, Freeburg; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her first husband, Anthony "Tony", others preceding her in death include her father, Edward, July 16, 1975; her mother, Marie, January 28, 2001; brother, Bernard Wieberg, Sr. February 10, 2009; infant sisters, Betty Wieberg and Nancy Wieberg; and brothers-in-law, John Lynch November28, 2011, and David Baysinger October 23, 2015.

Visitation for Mrs. Delores Mengwasser Hoffman will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:45 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2020, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, Missouri 65035, with her Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. in the Church with Rev. William D. Debo as the Celebrant.

Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, by Birmingham-Martin in Vienna.  Pallbearers for Delores will be Jason Wieberg, Joe Wieberg, Bradley Wieberg, Larry Lynch, Craig Reinkemeyer, and Jamie Wiles.
