MRS. DIANA L. DEATON
Diana Lynne (Duncan) Deaton age 52 of Vienna, MO passed away on July 24, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer.
She was born May 18, 1961, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Jackie and Carena (Renkemeyer) Duncan. On May 16, 1981, she was united in 32 years of marriage to Steve Deaton, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Joshua Deaton of Warrensburg, Missouri; one daughter, Rachel Walker and her husband, Matthew of Vienna; her father John (Jackie) Duncan of Vienna; and three sisters, Debra Havens and her husband, Terry of Vienna; Dana Squires and her husband, Gary of Vienna; Denise Wilkinson and her husband, Patrick of Vienna.
Proceeding her in death were her mother, Carena; maternal grandparents Louis and Christine Renkemeyer and paternal grandparents John (Jack) and Eulalia Duncan.
In 1980, she began her career working at Dave's Supermarket in Vienna until 1989, followed by running the Department of Revenue License Office in Vienna. Diana received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Liberty University and her Masters of Business Administration Degree from Webster University. She later went on to become a Missouri Licensed Certified Public Accountant. She went on to become an employee with the United States Postal Service beginning in 1993. She worked as a Postal Clerk in Vienna, Brinktown, California and then was the Post Master at Laquey, and Marshall, Missouri. In 2006, she moved to Chicago, IL, to begin her accounting career with the USPS Great Lakes District and then moved to USPS Headquarters in 2007 at Washington D.C.
A Memorial Service under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, in the Vienna United Methodist Church, Vienna, with Pastor Rebecca Mulford officiating.
