Obituary

Donald Gene Keeth, Jr., of Dixon, was born January 5, 1963, at McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas, a son of Donald Gene, Sr. and Frances May (Bauer) Keeth, and departed this life at 8:38 P.M., on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his residence near Dixon.  Donald had attained the age of 55 years, 3 months, and 21 days.

On March 24, 1988, at St. Louis, Mr. Keeth entered into active federal service in the Air Force of the United States and served until April 22, 1995, when he was honorably discharged at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, at the rank Senior Airman.  During his military career, Donald was awarded and entitled to wear the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award, the Air Force Training Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Rifle, the NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 1 device, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with device, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1 device, and served from August 2, 1990 to April 22, 1995 in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm.  A man of excellent character, Donald's "Honorable Discharge" is a testimonial of honest and faithful service to his country.

At the time of his passing he was attending the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon and was a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge No. 346 AF & AM, Dixon.  He worked for the government as a minute man missile site repairman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Those left to mourn the passing of Donald include: One daughter, Erin Marie Keeth, Minot, North Dakota; his parents, Donald, Sr. and Frances Keeth; two brothers, Robert Wayne Keeth and wife, Sherri, and Steven Donald Keeth, Sr. and wife, Jane all of Dixon; two nephews, Steven Donald Keeth Jr. and wife, Brandy, and Timothy Allen Keeth and wife, Tasha all of Dixon; and other relatives and friends.
