Donald Lee "Pete" Botkin, of Rolla, was born on April 20, 1966, at St. Louis, a son of Donald Hoyt and Doris Lee (Woolf) Botkin, and departed this life at 3:54 a.m., on Friday, May 22, 2020, at his residence in Rolla. He had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 54 years, 1 month, and 2 days.

Donald was united in marriage on May 26, 2001, at Dixon, to the former Miss Jennifer Melissa Ann King.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1997 at the Salem Faith Assembly Church, Salem, and had followed his Lord in baptism. Pete enjoyed numerous activities and his hobbies included making motorcycles, old cars, knives, leather sheaths, drawing, and especially spending time with his family.

During his working life, Donald had been employed in sawmill work at Salem in earlier years, later as a Corrections Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections, Jefferson City; and finally, before failing health, as Nurses Aide for Gasconade Manor and Frene Valley Nursing Home, both in Owensville.

Those left to mourn the passing of Donald include: His wife, Jennifer, of the home in Rolla; six daughters, Ashlee Botkin, Aubree Rable and husband, Tim, and Britta Botkin, all of Salem, Maci Finnigan of Dixon, Corissa Botkin of Salem, and Pazelee Botkin of Rolla; six grandchildren, Kaden Terrill, Keegan Terrill, Tayah Terrill, Sylas Terrill, Deliah Weber, Joel Terrill, and another grandchild anticipated on November 14, 2020; his mother, Doris Botkin, of Salem; one brother, Vance Botkin and friend, Laura Mendenhall, of Salem; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeannie "Maud" King and Kerey Laney, of St. James; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald H., in 2014; and his infant sister, Deborah Ilean King, at the age of 1 month in 1959.

Visitation for Mr. Donald Lee "Pete" Botkin will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 28, 2020, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Donald Lee "Pete" Botkin will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 29, 2020, in the Boss Cemetery, 1573 MO – 32, Boss, Missouri 65440, with Pastor Gary Mace, Amazing Grace Church, Cuba, officiating, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon. Pallbearers for Pete will be Troy Harrell, Wade Malady, Caleb Gorman, Nick Terrill, Tyler Ridenhour, and Scott Coomer, and his honorary pallbearers will be Vance Botkin, Kaden Terrill, Keegan Terrill, Sylas Terrill, and Joel Terrill.
