Doris Jean Moore, age 86, of Westphalia, formerly of Jefferson City, died at 5:50 p.m., on Friday, June 19, 2015, in the St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City.
She was born on June 10, 1929, at Glasgow, a daughter of Arthur and Mary Ameilia (Schwering) Brucks, and was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Arthur and Donald Brucks.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Jefferson City, and had attended Mass daily as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed caring for her home, lawn, family, and reading. Mrs. Moore retired from the Missouri Department of Revenue after 50 years of service.
Survivors: Her daughter, Patricia Ann "Patty" Lauberth, and husband, David, of Freeburg; one sister, Betty Stigall, of San Marcos, California; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was held in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Nicholas J. Reid as the Celebrant.
Interment was in the Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Memorials are suggested to the Holy Family School.
