Dorothy McMinn, age 92, of Vienna, formerly of Rolla, was born September 2, 1928, at Lake Spring, Dent County, Missouri, a daughter of Thomas Lee and Beatrice Fairmane (Williams) O'Haver, and departed this life Thursday, May 6, 2021, in Maries Manor, Vienna.

She was united in marriage January 29, 1950, at Rolla, MO, to John Clinton "Clint" McMinn, and to this union, three daughters were born. Clint was born April 4, 1928, at Stickney, Maries County, Missouri, and survives his wife in Vienna.

The family attended Bellvue Church, near Rolla, and after accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior early in life, Clint and Dorothy were baptized the same day in the baptistry of First Christian Church, Rolla. She was a member of the WPFA Club and looked forward to being with friends at their monthly meetings. Dorothy was a devoted housewife and homemaker to her husband and family; always planting a large garden then canning and freezing all that she could to provide food for them; and a caring person always helping others in their time of need with a loving heart. She especially enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and embroidering, as well as being a fabulous cook.

In addition to her husband of 71 years, others left to mourn the passing of Mrs. McMinn include: Two daughters, Patricia A. Harris (Dennis), Rolla, MO; and Linda Sue Hays (Shorty), Vienna, MO; six grandchildren, Hollie Caupp, Kirkwood, MO; Sara Hays, Vienna, MO; Adam Hays (Kacey), Vienna, MO; Rebecca Anciso (Tim), Red Lion, PA; Jacob Thompson (Lena), Ozark, MO; and Michael Thompson, Durant, OK; six great-grandchildren, Braeden Caupp, Greyson Caupp, Jovie Hays, Callie Hays, Micah Anciso, and Ean Anciso; son-in-law, David Thompson, Carson City, NV; beloved aunt to many; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Kay Thompson (1-19-2013); her father, Tom (11-1-1974); her mother, Beatrice (11-18-1987); and her siblings, Harold Lee O'Haver (8-11-2011), Doris Faye Spinali (3-28-2011), and Shirley Evelyn Gentry (2-13-2018).

Visitation for Mrs. Dorothy McMinn will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 406 South Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Chris Slocum, First Baptist Church, Vienna, MO, officiating, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, MO.

Inurnment will be in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens, Rolla, MO, at a latter date with grandsons, Adam Hays, Jacob Thompson, Michael Thompson, Micah Anciso, and Ean Anciso, serving as her honorary pallbearers.
