Edward Joseph "Eddie" Bauer, of Vienna, was born on August 19, 1966, at Iberia, a son of William Edward "Billy" and Josephine Ann "JoAnn" (Buechter) Bauer, and departed this life at 5:30 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2014, near Vienna. Eddie had attained the age of 47 years, 11 months, and 2 days.

Eddie was united in marriage at Brinktown, on June 18, 1988, to Melissa Eads, and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene William Bauer on October 1, 1992 and his grandparents.

Eddie was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown. He worked part-time for Honse Implement, Vienna, as a mechanic, and was a self-employed woodcutter and life time logger. He enjoyed hunting, tinkering in his garage, and being at the cabin and pond with his children.

Those left to mourn the passing of Eddie include: one son, Levi Joseph William Bauer, Vienna; one daughter, Ebony Jane Ann Bauer, Vienna; the mother of his children, Missy Bauer, Vienna; his parents, William "Billy" and Josephine "JoAnn" Bauer, Dixon; one brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Christie Bauer, Dixon; niece, Acelyn Bauer, Dixon; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Deniece Eads; Doug and Kim Eads and Daren and Tammy Eads; uncles; aunts; nephews; nieces; great-nephews and great-nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 12:00 noon, Friday, July 25, 2014, in the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown, with Rev. Matthew Flatley, officiating.

Interment was in the Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers for Eddie were Pat Bauer, John Ragan, Tim Deeken, Dink Eads, Jay James and Ronnie Bauer. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Eads, Doug Eads, Ronnie "Fat" Thompson and Joe Buechter.

Masses or memorials per the wishes of the family are preferred with envelopes available at the Guardian Angels Church, Brinktown, or the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
