Edith Rosanna Crum, 86, of Vienna, died Monday, April 7, 2014.
She was born June 27, 1927, at Jakes Prairie, a daughter of George Albert and Lora Ellen (Ferris) Frederickson.
Mrs. Crum married Robert Cellis Crum, I on December 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2010.
She had Master's in Education Administration, teaching for more than three decades in public schools in Miller, Cole, Crawford and Maries Counties. After retiring from the public schools system, she taught for several years at Visitation Catholic School in Vienna.
For more than 65 years she partnered in ministry with her husband, Pastor Cellis Crum, serving as pianist, Sunday school teacher and women's leader at various churches throughout central Missouri.
A 50-Year-Pin member of Eastern Star, she was active in Lodges in both Eldon and Vienna, Mo. She was also a past member of the Rebecca's Lodge in Eldon, Missouri.
She was a woman of many talents and interests; an accomplished seamstress, cook, gardener and family historian. She was an avid reader, and loved poetry.
Mrs. Crum is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Martha Crum, Spotsylvania, Virginia; 2 daughters and one son-in-law, Yvonne and Lyman "Sonny" Meyer, Meta and Jana Crum and fiancé, Joe Gray, Vienna; one brother, Kenneth Frederickson, Springfield; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren with one expected in the near future.
Visitation for Mrs. Crum will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Spring Valley Baptist Church, Henley, MO and from 1 – 3 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2014, in the First Baptist Church, Vienna with the funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the Little Flock Cemetery, Vienna.
Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family.
