Obituary

Edna Mae Belcher, age 71, of Belle, was born on June 15, 1953, at St. Louis, a daughter of Melvin and Edna (Raymo) Christeson, and passed from this life on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Belcher was united in marriage on May 9, 1971, at Flag Springs, to Jerry Leon Belcher and five children were raised.

She was an IUT Technician with Lakeside Book Company, Owensville, for over twenty years prior to her retirement.   Edna enjoyed camping and hanging out with her family, in addition to being a devoted housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in taking care of the needs of her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Belcher include: her husband of fifty-three years, Jerry "Cookie" Belcher, of the home near Belle; one son, Steven Belcher (Amber), Belle; four daughters, Maryann Gonsalez (Christy), New Columbia, Pennsylvania; Marquita Parkan (Randy), Bland; Barbara Snyder (Tony) and Samantha Naber (Jason) all of Belle; fourteen grandchildren, Jordan Hoover (Donny); Trey Hubble (Rayonna); Tonja Beagle (Payton); Payton Doss; Taylor Roberson (Jocelyn); Chase Gonsalez; Jazmyn Parkan (Brandon); Justin Parkan (Samantha); Andrew Parkan (Isabella); Jayson Snyder (Martina); Kayla Snyder; Jozlyn Bolte (Daniel); Hali Naber (Triston); and Zachary Naber; ten great-grandchildren, Kylee Belcher, Jackson Belcher, Attricus Hoover, Cassius Hoover, Iris Parkan, Bella Snyder, Millie Snyder, Karter Snyder, Walker Bolte, and Beckett Bolte; sisters, Louise Strauser, Potosi; and Susan Christenson, Belle; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy (Sunshine) Belcher; her father, Melvin; her mother Edna; four brothers, William Christeson, Johnny Christeson, Dale Christeson, and James Christeson; and three sisters, Mary Bolin, Donna Zimmer, and Carol Belcher.

Following the wishes of Edna, the family elected cremation under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, and will hold a private family gathering.
