Elaine Susanne Wibberg, of Jefferson City, was born on August 17, 1946, at Jefferson City, a daughter of Ignatius and Angela (Bock) Mengwasser, and departed this life at 6:12 p.m., on Friday, June 12, 2020, in StoneBridge Villa Marie, Jefferson City. She had attained the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 25 days.

Elaine was united in marriage on September 17, 1966, at Freeburg, to Linus Wibberg.

In earlier years, she attended the Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Family School, both in Freeburg, and was a 1965 graduate of the Fatima High School in Westphalia.

A self-taught artist, Elaine loved to draw and create beautiful works of art. She also enjoyed doing word searches and spending time with family and friends.

During her working life, Elaine had been employed at Von Hoffman Press Company, in Jefferson City, as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Wibberg include: Two sons, Bruce Wibberg and wife, Elizabeth, and Scott Wibberg, all of Jefferson City; her grandchildren; four siblings, Diane Dudenhoeffer and husband, David, of Jefferson City, Judy McFarland and husband, Robin, of Lohman, Jim Mengwasser and wife, Joan, of Freeburg, and Larry Mengwasser and wife, Stacia, of Holts Summit; nephews, nieces, with greats as well; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Wibberg was preceded in death by her husband, Linus; her father, Ignatius; her mother, Angela; and one nephew, Eric McFarland.

Visiation for Mrs. Elaine Susanne Wibberg will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 18, 2020, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, Missouri 65035, with her Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. in the Church with the Rev. Anthony Viviano as the Celebrant under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Interment will be next to her beloved parents in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, by Birmingham-Martin in Vienna.
