Eric James Morgan, age 52, of Vienna, was born February 6, 1974, in Jefferson City, a son of Debbie (Morgan) Wagner and Everett Wagner, and passed from this life on Monday, May 18, 2026, at his home.

During his working life, Eric's greatest passion was truck driving, and he spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver until his health no longer permitted him to drive. Over the years, he also worked in construction, as a maintenance man, and in AC and electrical installation. He enjoyed history and everything to do with Star Wars and Star Trek. Eric loved to joke and make people laugh. He was also the kind of person who told it like it was — unapologetically honest about what he thought of you. He enjoyed spending time at the grill, barbecuing for family and friends. Eric also loved to travel and adored his two cats, Pickles and Cricket.

Those left to mourn the passing of Eric include: his parents, Debbie Wagner and husband, Everett Wagner of Vienna; his siblings; Josh Wagner, Jennifer Massman and husband, Brad, Angela Wagner, Julie Guevara and husband, Alex,  all of Vienna, and Crystal Williams and husband, Jarrell, of Jefferson City; his nieces and nephews, Rose Massman, Noah Massman, Josiah Massman, Micah Massman, Jayden Williams, Amaya Williams, and Lana Guevara; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Following Eric's wishes, the family has elected cremation under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

A memorial service will be held at a later time and will be announced by the funeral home.
