Obituary

Frances Jean Myrick, of Camdenton, formerly of Dixon, was born on December 14, 1957, a daughter of Wilbur Douglas and Minnie Isabelle (Cox) Huffman, and departed this life at 7:50 p.m., on Friday, November 29, 2013, in the Cuba Manor Care Center, Cuba. Frances had attained the age of 55 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Frances accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior and was baptized on April 16, 1986. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Camdenton. Frances endeavored to live a Christian life being an encouragement to all, assisting with the mission program of her church, and being a supportive friend to all. During her working life, she had been employed by the Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, for three years, and by various day care centers as a child care provider. Frances enjoyed various crafts and making things with her hands.

Those left to mourn the passing of Frances include: One brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Shirley Huffman, Vienna; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Clifford Robertson, Dixon, and Shirley and Paul Robertson, Cuba; a special niece, more like a sister, Frannie Campbell, Camdenton; other nieces; nephews; her spiritual mother and sister, Willa Fay Powell and Kathy Black, both of Camdenton; and other relatives and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her father on October 18, 1969; her mother on March 15, 2001; her twin brother, Franklin Dean Huffman, in 1958; and three sisters, Mary Huffman in 1956, Velma Bays on June 29, 2000, and Emma Huffman on January 14, 2007.

Funeral services were conducted for Frances at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with Pastor Don Arthur, Apostolic Faith Church, Jerome, officiating.

Interment was in the Clifty Cemetery near Dixon in Maries County under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Frances were Doug Bays, Jeff Huffman, Ronnie Huffman, Cliff Robertson, Scott Campbell, and Matt Robertson.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family of Frances to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the Dixon Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
