Frances Mary Schwartze, of Linn, formerly of Vienna, was born on June 23, 1942, at Koeltztown, in Osage County, a daughter of Stephen Henry "Steve" and Adelheide (Luebbert) Boeckmann, and departed this life at 4:28 p.m., on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She had attained the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
Frances was united in marriage on September 24, 1960, at Koeltztown, to Frederick John Schwartze, and to this union, five children were born.
She was a member of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Vienna, where she had assisted with the church bulletin, and while living in Linn, Frances had attended Mass at St. George Catholic Church. She was a member the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary in Argyle and Westphalia, and along with her husband, Fred, were two of the founding leaders of the Stockmasters 4-H Club in Vienna where they both served as leaders as well. Frances was a volunteer at Victorian Manor in Vienna for their Bingo program, and she enjoyed quilting and embroidery work.
During her working life, Frances had been employed in Home Health Services, in Rolla and Jefferson City, and Capital Region Medical Center and Villa Marie-StoneBridge Community, both in Jefferson City, in housekeeping, prior to her retirement in 2015. She was also a devoted housewife and homemaker to her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Frances include: Three sons, Don Schwartze and wife, Pat, of Brazito, Andrew Schwartze and wife, Denise, of Jefferson City, and Robert Schwartze and wife, Amy, of Freeburg; two daughters, Nancy Davis and husband, Carl, of Vienna, and Margaret Ball and husband, Brian, of Paola, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Shawna, Aaron, Rachael, Leanna, Hayden, Brianna, and Taylor; one great-grandchildren, Kaylie; one brother, Arthur Boeckmann, and wife, Helen, of Wardsville; three sisters, Viola Weber and husband, Elmer, of Westphalia, Rose Mary Bishop of Centertown; and Anna Marie Reinkemeyer and husband, William "Bill", of Jefferson City; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on November 18, 2013; her father, Steve, on January 3, 1974; her mother, Adelheid, on February 22, 1964; seven brothers, Alphonse Boeckman, Lawrence Boeckman, Victor Boeckman, Joseph Boeckman, Herb Boeckman, Ray Boeckman, and Dave Boeckman; and one sister, Monica Bruemmer.
All attending the visitation and funeral Mass for Mrs. Schwartze are required to wear personal masks or other personal protective equipment, follow social distancing and close contact guidelines, and adhere to COVID-19 protocol.
Visitation for Mrs. Frances Mary Schwartze will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, followed by the Mass of Christian at 10:00 a.m., all in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki V.G. as the celebrant, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
Interment will be in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery, Vienna, by Birmingham-Martin in Vienna. Pallbearers for Mrs. Schwartze will be Hayden Schwartze, Aaron Schwartze, Brian Ball, Mark Boeckmann, Kenny Neubert, and Devin McCubbin, and her honorary pallbearer will be her nephew, Wayne Boeckmann.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Frances Mary Schwartze are suggested by her family to the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
