Harold DeWayne "Wayne" Honse, of Vienna, was born on March 7, 1956, at Jefferson City, a son of Harold Clyde and Jewell Marie (Opperman) Honse, and departed this life at 10:24 p.m., on Friday, May 19, 2017, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his residence near Vienna. He had attained the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 12 days.
Wayne was united in marriage on June 28, 1975, at Vienna to the former Miss Mary Evelyn Carter, and to this union, three sons were born.
He had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior early in life and had followed his Lord in baptism. At the time of his death, Wayne was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vienna. He was a graduate of the Maries R-1 High School, Vienna, and had continued his studies at the Linn Technical College and the University of Missouri Rolla. During his working life, Wayne had been employed as a mechanic for approximately twenty years at the Honse Implement Company, Vienna, until 1995. Activities he especially enjoyed included trap shooting, hunting, fishing, military history, and working with his hands such as "building stuff and fixing things".
Those left to mourn the passing of Wayne include: His three sons, Joe Honse and wife, Ginger, of Rolla, John Honse and wife, Angie, of Vienna, and Zach Honse and wife, Ciara, of Vienna; his six grandchildren, Abbey Honse, Ben Honse, Joe Honse, Emory Honse, Marlee Honse, and Hattie Honse; the mother of his sons, Mary Pierce, of Vienna; his brother, Paul Eugene Honse, of Vienna; his sister, Eva Elaine Darr, of Jefferson City; nephews; nieces; other relatives; and many friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Wayne are suggested per the wishes of the family to establish an education fund for his grandchildren with envelopes available at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
