Harry Edward Snodgrass Jr., age 74, of Vienna, was born August 4, 1950, at Christian Hospital in East St. Louis, a son of Harry Edward and Lilly Helena (Semenske) Snodgrass Sr., and passed from this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia, surrounded by his loving family.

He was united in marriage to Vicki Benton Ragan in March of 1983 and to this union one daughter was born.

During his working life Harry was employed with Preferred Family Health, Rolla, for eighteen years, helping care for disabled adults.

Harry was a 1969 graduate of Central High School and spent the majority of his life in the city, which he loved.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved Elvis, telling jokes, and sitting in the sun with his dog, Daisy. Harry adored his daughter, Alivia, as she was his entire world, as he was hers, and he shared an exceptional relationship with his son-in-law, Shawn, who he trusted and loved deeply for fourteen years. He especially loved spending time with his sister, Patri, who he shared an unbreakable bond with, that was and will always be treasured; his sister, Rose who he shared a loving and continued closeness with; and he also shared an astonishing bond with his nephew Ben, who he called Benny. Harry was a man of strong faith, a devout believer in Jesus, and had a personality that was unmatchable!

Those left to mourn the passing of Harry include: his devoted daughter, Alivia Snodgrass Halstead and her spouse, Shawn, of West Plains; three sisters, Patri (Snodgrass) Henke, Nancy Joan (Hodge) Rooney, Rosemary (Hodge) Mitchell and husband, Dale; one brother, Michael Snodgrass and wife, Shelia; and many other relatives and friends.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry E. Snodgrass Sr. on May 30, 1971, and Lilly Helena Snodgrass on September 29, 2007, whom he adored; along with on brother James Anthony "Jimmie" Snodgrass on February 4, 2013; and two half-brothers, Wilson David Hodge on August 12, 1957, and Jerry Hodge on September 26, 2017.

Visitation for Harry E. Snodgrass Jr. will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, with his funeral service following at 11:00 a.m.

Interment for Harry E. Snodgrass Jr. will be in the Snodgrass Cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.  Pallbearers for Harry will be Shawn Halstead, Ben Henke, Bill Ford, Patri Henke, Joe Lombardo, and Anthony Lombardo.
