Helen Marie Copeland, of O'Fallon, was born February 12, 1946, at Argyle, a daughter of Fritz Joseph and Catherine Cecilia (Brunnert) Wieberg, and departed this life at 7:55 p.m., on Monday, April 13, 2020, at her residence. She had attained the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 1 day.

Helen was united in marriage on October 29, 1966, at Argyle, to John Gale Copeland, and to this union, four children were born.

She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, O'Fallon. Prior to her retirement, Helen had been a floral delivery driver for Dierbergs Markets, as well as being a devoted housewife, homemaker, and a person diligent in providing for the needs of her family. She enjoyed family activities, playing scrabble, fill in puzzles, yard work, gardening, and bird watching.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Copeland include: Her children, Sherry Copeland and companion, Mark Stagner, of Wentzville, and Johnny Copeland, Sheila Hummel and husband, Randy, and Shannon Copeland, all of O'Fallon; three grandchildren, Alisha Copeland, Christopher Gamma, and Ayden Copeland; two great-grandchildren, Akiya Engle and Ashlon Engle; one brother, Urban Wieberg, and wife, Frances, Argyle; nephews, nieces, with greats as well; other relatives and friends; and her dogs, Macy and Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gale, on November 27, 2011; her father, Fritz, on November 13, 1984; her mother, Catherine, on January 7, 1965; her siblings, Rita Payne on September 25, 2006, Ermina Dickens on July 14, 1988, Albert Joseph Wieberg on June 27, 2003, Veronica McCormick on August 17, 2015, Edmund John Wieberg on July 18, 2019, Ildephonse Emil Wieberg on July 1, 2002, Mathias (or Mattias) Wieberg at the age of 4 years on February 19, 1939, John Aloysius Wieberg on January 11, 2006, and James John Wieberg on March 30, 2000.

Visitation for Mrs. Helen Marie Copeland will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 18, 2020, with the Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. all in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 1 Church Lane, Argyle, Missouri 65001 by Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Interment will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery, Vienna, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Copeland, Ayden Copeland, Randy Hummel, Mark Stagner, Donnie Wieberg, Marvin Wieberg, Leonard Wieberg, Ivan Wieberg, Mike Schulte, and Mike Copeland.
