Irene Ann Conn, of Dixon, was born on January 10, 1926, at Wurtzburg, Germany, a daughter of Johann Adam and Elfriede Margarita (Lei bold) Stock, and departed this life at 11:33 a.m., on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at her residence near Dixon. Irene had attained the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Walter Stock and Helmer Stock; and one sister, Hiltrude Seeger.
Irene was a clerk in accounting for thirty-eight years with the department of finance at Fort Leonard Wood prior to her retiring. She loved gardening and flowers and was a devoted homemaker and mother, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Conn include: Two sons, Walter (Kathy) Conn, Lebanon; and Kenneth Conn, LaPorte, Indiana; two daughters, Patricia Faherty and companion, Tom Throneberry, Dixon; and Carman Eagle, St. Charles, and companion Richard Costantinou, San Diego, California; six grandchildren, Heather Conn, Rochelle (Bret) Roberts, Aaron (Melanie) Conn, Lance (Heather) Irvin, Andrew Faherty, and Elizabeth (Alex) O'Brien; three great-grandchildren, Quentin, Eliana, and Natalie Roberts; one sister, Rosel (Abbas) Fatimi, Oster Ode, Germany; and other relatives and friends.
The family of Mrs. Conn is being served by the Birmingham-Martin Funeral in Dixon, with a private memorial services planned at a later time.
